What is an electromagnetic waves in physics | sources of electromagnetic waves |

 Firstly know that what is  an electromagnetic waves. This i very important to know that because they always ask in job question like banking,ssc or other competitive examination. In this reason i discussed this topic and also this topic in trending for competitive exam and general knowledge.

so guys lets starts ......

firstly know what is electromagnetic waves ?

your answer is given below.....

Electromagnetic Waves.

Electromagnetic waves are the waves which are produced due to the change in electric field E and magnetic field B sinusoidally and propagating through space such that, the two fields are perpendicular to each other and perpendicular to the direction of wave propagation.

 I hope you understand our answer and you known that what is an electromagnetic waves.

An other question is arises, what is the sources of an electromagnetic waves.

your answer is below.....

Here i discuss some sources of electromagnetic waves.

Source of Electromagnetic Waves.

An oscillating charge is an example of accelerating charge. An oscillating charge produces an oscillating electric field in space, which produces an oscillating magnetic field, which in turn produces an oscillating electric fields and so on. The oscillating electric and magnetic fields regenerate each other as the wave propagates through space. The frequency of EM wave naturally equals the frequency of oscillation of charge.

Now i discuss some important characteristics of an electromagnetic  waves  which is very important for you because almost 80% question arises in it in competitive examination.

Important Characteristics of Electromagnetic Waves. Important characteristics of EM waves are listed below:

 (i) The electromagnetic waves are produced by
accelerated charge.

(ii) These waves do not require any material medium for
propagation.

(iii) These waves travel in free space with the speed of
light (3 x 10 ms'), given by the relation c=1/ Vuo&o. It means that light waves are electromagnetic in nature.

(iv) The direction of variations of electric and magnetic
fields are perpendicular to each other and also perpendicular to the direction of wave propagation.
Thus, electromagnetic waves are transverse in nature.

 (v) In free space, the magnitudes of electric and magnetic
fields in electromagnetic waves are related by
E/B=c.

 (vi) The energy in electromagnetic waves is divided, on
an average, equally between electric and magnetic fields.
In this way

 Ue = Um

where, Ue = energy of electric field

Um= energy of magnetic field.

I hope you understand whichever i explain about electromagnetic waves.
